The true-crime story of Myron Sugerman, a member of the New Jersey mob and the last original gangster of an iconic era. His father, Barney, was a lifelong partner of Meyer Lansky, Benny “Bugsy” Siegel, Lucky Luciano, and Joe “Doc” Statcher. The Sugermans were the largest manufacturers, importers, and exporters of illegal slot, pinball, and cigarette machines from the 1930s onward. Distributing contraband to more than 80 countries, their endeavors spanned the globe. After fighting against the onslaught of fascist violence by the German American Bund in the streets of New Jersey and New York, Myron took to Nazi hunting. He established ties with famed Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, and together they tracked the notorious Nazi scientist Dr. Joseph Mengele. Sugerman is a one-of-a-kind outlaw whose firsthand accounts of his amazing lifetime endeavors make for a fun and fascinating tour of American underworld history.
