Overview

Bachelor Baruch, still searching for his soulmate, works for matchmaker (and tough boss) Malchi. When she assigns him to pick up her gorgeous, brainy daughter, Shira, at the airport, he unexpectedly falls for her—but winning both over isn’t easy. Baruch and Shira must navigate a labyrinth of challenges—matchmaker mom meddling, personal doubts and societal expectations—in this delightful and hilarious sequel to Israel’s 2022 box office hit (though familiarity with the previous film is not required to enjoy this stand-alone sequel).

Filled with humor and heart, MATCHMAKING 2 gives modern Orthodox dating a playful twist and delivers sharp insights about identity, clashing religious and secular values and cultural tensions between Ashkenazi and Sephardi Jewish communities. Featuring a stellar ensemble cast, this crowd-pleasing romp speaks to the romantic in us all.
