The comedy duo of Guy Amir and Hanan Savyon (best known for the Netflix series “Bros” and megahits MAKTUB, SJFF 2018 and FORGIVENESS, SJFF 2020) bring their talents to another crazy and hilarious romp through Jerusalem. Serving up murder, farce and mistaken identity, JINXED features two loveable TV repairmen who just can’t catch a break. Out on a repair call, Benny and Reuven (Amir and Savyon) enter an empty house whereupon they stumble upon the owner’s dead body. They scramble to cover their tracks to avoid culpability, but their cloddish efforts only implicate them more. Their lives spiral out of control as both the police and mafia hunt them. The only way to save their skins is to play both sides—but are they smart enough to pull it off?
JINXED is a celebration of Amir and Savyon’s physical and situational comedy, drawing a hapless pair of buffoons into the crosshairs of culpability, making audiences wonder if they can escape before the credits roll. The script is wildly imaginative, the performances are gleefully over-the-top and the comedy elicits belly laughs, making for a memorable fun time at the movies. Winner, Audience Award for Best Israeli Film at Miami Jewish Film Festival 2026.
